Literature Text

See this girl?
The one with the book,
The girl that smiles everyday,
The girl that prefers to be alone.

She's wearing a mask,
Her smile is fake,
This book is the only place were she's allowed to be herself,
And why is she alone, you ask me,
It's because she was hurt so many times,
That she doesn't believe in friendship anymore.

Society screwed her up,
School made her feel down,
Her parents made her anxious,
She's depressed and no one sees it,
No one cares about how she really feels.

But no one can see under that mask,
She told so many lies,
She laughed a bit too much,
In the stupidest jokes you could think,
But when she's alone,
She let the tears go,
And after that,
She starts hiding from herself.

She doesn't show pain,
She's used to it.
She hasn't moved on,
She's just lying to herself.

Never judge a book by it's cover....
